As a Graduate Analyst in our Chemical, Biological and Radiological (CBR) Division, you will help to ensure that decisions made by senior leaders in the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and across Government are based on the best available evidence. 

Degree disciplines we’re looking for: Operational Research, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Mathematics, Social Sciences. Other STEM degrees may also be considered.

As a Graduate Mathematical Modeller, you’ll provide Chemical and Biological hazard assessment advice, primarily through the use of models, to support operations, advice, policy and research for enclosed and complex environments including buildings, transport infrastructure and military platforms.

Degree disciplines we’re looking for: Any quantitative science, technology, engineering or mathematics subject.

Equipment Evaluation

Dstl provided advice and Test and Evaluation support to the Police in the procurement of their next generation CBRN suit. Using the Porton Man mannequin Dstl identified a number of improvements to the preferred system. Separately Dstl provided expert advice to demonstrate system equivalence and enable the smooth transfer of the support contract for the General Service Respirator from Scott Safety to Avon Protection.
